A positive trend has emerged in the local scene. More rappers have been making use of home recording services provided by Yadin and Azrael to record their songs. A song that was recently recorded was Apiz iLm's Let Us Be. The premise of the song is more battle-oriented as we see Apiz taking on bubblegum rappers and wielding his lyrical sword to protect the credibility of Sghiphop in the eyes of the skeptical public . The song gets the dramatic touch of the trademark F Word sound.While the subject matter may be contrived and predictable,Apiz attacks the beat without any pretentiousness,only with the objective of educating and spreading knowledge (as the iLm in his name suggests which is knowledge in arabic. Deep whoa!) However,the track doesn't quite have the impact that it intended to and at certain times may seem over-entusiastic at proving a point. Overall,an effort that can be improved upon and Apiz Knowledge might prove to be our own Talib Kweli.
